Our heartbeat
The aim of the Physical Education curriculum at St John the Baptist Primary School is to ensure that all children enjoy taking part in regular physical activity and incorporate this as a part of a healthy lifestyle. The activities that they take part in will include team sports, dance, gymnastics and independent skills. This may include competitive or creative activities, undertaken with or against other children or themselves.
We provide all children with the opportunity to take part in competitive sport within the school PE curriculum and aim to give as many children as possible the chance to represent the school at local area competitions. If we are fortunate enough to progress in these competitions to the county level, children will have the opportunity to compete against other schools county wide at the Hampshire Games.
