Our heartbeat
At St John the Baptist Primary School, history is taught imaginatively and creatively in order to enhance the children’s’ learning experiences. Learning about the history of Britain and the wider world from the earliest times, encourages children to be inquisitive and curious about the past. Undertaking historical enquiries and understanding historical concepts, helps pupils to draw conclusions using evidence and to think about why some people may have different viewpoints. Making connections between different aspects of their learning, time periods studied and their experiences is valued and celebrated.
