Our heartbeat
Through geographical studies at St John the Baptist Primary School, children develop a sense of care and responsibility for their immediate environment as well as for the wider world. They gain an understanding of environmental issues which are current in today’s society. Through an awareness of the human and physical features of our world children can make connections between aspects of their learning. Children will be encouraged to gather, analyse and interpret data before drawing conclusions. By using different locations (field work) children have first-hand experiences of Geography.
