Lollypop Lady Awards
Lorraine Benning, School Crossing Partol lady for St John the Baptist School in Titchfield Common recently attended the awards ceremony for School Crossing Patrol of the year awards. Having already achieved the accolade of winning the award for the Fareham area Lorraine was contending against 10 others from across the county or this prestigious award. In patrolling the busy Abshott Road for the last 14 years Lorraine is a valued member of the team says Head Teacher Mrs Merriman. Lorraine was nominated by our Year Five pupil Eleanor Hughes who accompanied Lorraine to the ceremony held at Winchester County Council offices and also collected a prize for producing an excellent drawing which helped secure Lorraines success in receiving the nomination for the Fareham District.
